Folio - over 12" - 15" tall Very Good This is a beautifully bound and mounted collection of photographs of the mosaics in the Kahrie Mosque. Dating from the 13th century, they were preserved through the Turkish conquest. There are 57 plates listed on sheets mounted at front, plus 37 more not listed. Several inscriptions on front fly leaf and inside cover, only one of which is dated cleary: 1952. Another may be 1929? There is a little rubbing of the binding and two corners are bumped & a small place at bottom edge where leather is worn or torn through.
