When the Community Chorus was established, the intention was that the net proceeds of each concert be given to the Rotary Club of Tryon to be used as funds for scholarships. In other words, after all production expenses were paid, the Rotary Club of Tryon would receive what was left over from ticket sales. But the friendly relationship between the Community Chorus and the Rotary Club has evolved over the years.

The Rotary Club now is responsible for selling tickets to our concerts. All ticket revenues are forwarded to the Rotary Foundation to be awarded as scholarships to Polk County students

Because the Community Chorus receives none of the ticket revenues, it must find other sources to fund its productions. Our continued existence and the funding for our concerts come solely from the contributions and donations we receive.

The Community Chorus needs your support.
